annual trek across the US

August 8th, 2015 | Posted by Stacey in Uncategorized

Post Placid…we drove to IA, which we do every summer.  The kids love it.  We stop and see lots of friends and hit different places every summer.  This time we had company along the way.  Ryan’s brother and his crew of 4 came out to spectate and cheer.  We were lucky to have them with us.

We could not leave the Adirondacks without a little cliff jumping…for our kids that was the highlight of Placid

We had a great last few nights in the Adirondacks…there are great places to eat and play.  We were lucky to spend time with my athletes families post race.  Here is a chairlift used in the Olympics..so fun

Then we headed to Niagara Falls via Canada….which proved to be beneficial to Ryan as he liked gambling in Canadian dollars…

I was lucky to sneak away for the night and catch up with my best camp pal Julia…it was great to see her outside of training and racing.  A night of sushi and mojitos was just what we needed.

and then it was back on the road to PA….we stopped briefly in Chicago to catch up with friends there….
